From September 13.-16. the International Jaguar Meeting took place in the area of Waidhofen/Ybbs.
120 participants from Hungary, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Germany and Austria met Thursday evening at the Hotel Schloss an der Eisenstrasse. To provide efficiency and driving pleasure the cars were split in 3 different speed-levels (cruising/moderate/sportive), each of them starting in intervals of 15 minutes. This innovation found common appreciation and will be continued at future trips.
Day one led us to Steyr where one group had a guided city-tour. Parallel to it the other group visited the BMW-engine-factory. After lunch the groups changed activities. The evening ended with dinner in the hotel and of course for some at the well-assorted bar.
On Saturday we drove through Opponitz and Hollenstein. After a short break we continued the journey along the “Eisenstrasse” and reached our destination Mariazell where our cars were consecrated. After lunch there was plenty of time for an individual visit of Mariazell.
The last stage led us along the Erlaufsee, through Neuhaus and Maierhoefen to Gaming our last stop where we tasted different local beers.
A very special thank to our organizators Michael Lackner and Martin Campregher, who choose the nicest routes in the area and solved logistic challenges that the number of cars and participants bring along.
We also would like to thank all participants for their immediate positive feedback as well as their discipline and timelineness to support a smooth course of actions.
The next International Jaguar Meeting will take place in Hungary in the area of Pecs. We are all looking forward to meeting again!
